Boring Ending

I just watched the last episode of channel 8’s “Love at zero deg C”, and I am sooo disappointed!! Reason being, the ending is super unrealistic. Look!! How can any tom, dick or harry use the airport’s broadcast system to confess their love?!? The scriptwriter seriously needs to do some soul searching. I mean, on the whole, the story was almost perfect, with romantic ideas like fireworks and ice parlors but the ending was a complete spoiler!!! It trashed the entire romantic atmosphere that was painstakingly built up beforehand.

Anyway, drama series are meant for entertainment only. They can be imaginative and unrealistic for all they want, because they are the one who determines the storyline. My job is to watch their production. However, I felt that I have wasted my youth watching that lame love story, meant for teenagers. My mum was cursing and swearing, because the story doesn’t make sense to her.

Backtrack a bit…

If you are reading this and if the generation gap between us is not wide, I am sure you will know that a few years back, there was a term called “stead”.

It is among the top 5 most “in” words any teenager would wants to be linked to. If you don’t know what stead is, then you are really old… it means BGR by the way….

There used to be lots of couples in my class, and many a time, they fall out with each other for various reasons. Sometimes, it would be due to third party intruding, and we would find ourselves in the middle of the battlefield, witnessing some chairs flying all over the classroom. How exciting!!!

As for me, I never had a “stead” when it was still an “in” word. I only started dating when I was 19; when the word – stead, is outdated. According to many friends, I was considered late among the cohort and I had already missed out much in life. But, personally, I don’t feel that way.

I used to link guys to accessories, decorative items, something I can do with or without. Perhaps, the way my friends treat their bfs had drew such a conclusion within me. It is like; they have a bf for the sake of having one, so as to fit into the “in” category. They want to show off, to hang their arms and to keep themselves accompany. See that?? Don’t i make guys sounded like accessories now??

But as I grew older, I find that guys are a cute lot!!! Uni guys are definitely unlike those I have seen back in secondary school. Not just because they had completed puberty, but they are also much more mature in their thoughts. Or perhaps, after 2 years in the army without girls, they decided to be nice to us??

Anyway, my first relationship was a failure. I no longer feel anything for that brief moment we were together. I admit that I was not committed, and I took things for granted. Sometimes, I wondered if we had ever been together, since there was nothing worth remembering!!! No promises, no themes, a relationship without a base. Amazing right?? Hahaha!!! But now, I am very contented with my new life, just a little confuse. I am still in the mist of making up my mind...

If you are looking for a chance to spend some romantic time with your loved ones, I have a great suggestion. There will be a fireworks display at Marina Bay on the 8 August at 9pm. Fireworks leh!!! How often can you see them!!! You can then imagine yourself as weixiang or yixin in “Love at zero deg C” Hahaha!!

Happy dreaming!!! Nice eh??

BTW, I just saw a cockroach strolling across my room!! It was mocking at me and it seems to have settled pretty well with me. I wonder if many others of its descendants are partying under my bed… @#$%^&
