A mesmerizing night at the glasshouse, complete with food, flower, present and my love one. That was how I sum up my childhood on Friday, October 13. It was definitely a night to remember, and a memory that would last a lifetime.
As I awaken to the chirping of the birds on my big day, I knew I had entered a new chapter of my life. On October 14, I’m 21!!
The buzzing of my preparation was hectic, as I had many things still undone. After washing up, I started to clean up my house and decorate my place. It was tough doing it alone and mummy was there to my rescue. We blew up a few balloons and used our Christmas decors to have our place done up.
After lunch with rus outside, we bought all the stuff that I need before she drove us back to my place. Ohhh rus….you are so nice!! How can I live without you??
Let me tell you, rus is really the nicest girl I’ve ever know on earth!! Didn’t I look pretty on my birthday?? That was all thanks to her. She tied my hair, and did the makeup for me, and makes me look really gorgeous. Erm…I am pretty to start with, no??
A few friends actually asked how much I had spent for my makeover, and now you know – it’s free!!! See that rus, you had reached the standard of a professional makeup artist!!! Congratulations and Thank you so much!!!
Besides rus, a few other friends were also invited earlier to help me in my preparation. Drea, ash, simon, susu and yf were among them. They help to blow my balloons and tie them in the garden, but at the same time, they burst several balloons and scare my wits off!!!
As the sky darkens in the deepening twilight, the feast had just begun. Stomachs were already growling and my buffet was all ready to be eaten. The light sticks that I had given out as door gift glows in the charming garden, and my diamond key-like pendent was shinning against the haze and glaring at my friends’ face. (hahaha!!! Let me be hao lian for once!!) My friends were self-entertaining as usual while I was walking around and chatting randomly with my guests.
I knew I wasn’t a good host because half the time, I don’t know what my friends were doing. Sorry about that, but I am just a lousy host and I shall admit it….
At about 8.30pm, my daddy and brother shifted a table to the middle of the badminton court and the cake was ready to be cut. As the birthday song jiggles in the hazy air, I felt fortunate to have lived 21 years of precious life so meaningfully and I deep down, I thank all those who had, in one way or another, came into my life, taught me the values of life, and make me who I am today.
