First week of IA

Extreme boredom, unbearable coldness… I had been experiencing just that the past week. Don’t ask me what is my job scope, because even I myself can’t answer that. Basically, I was just flipping through some files and waiting for the world to bypass me.

Each morning, the dreadful sound of alarm would buzz off hatefully!! If not for the responsibility to my grades, I would certainly be happy to sink into a peaceful slumber…. Waking up unwillingly is the greatest challenge in life, don’t you agree??

Well, things are not really that bad, as I was issued a laptop for my own personal usage, and what’s more, bring home that lappy!! It is almost the same as the one I use at home, so nothing was too difficult to handle. Besides, I am permitted to access the confidential information of the company, which makes life sooo interesting!!

Now I can talk to my friends freely during office hours, because msn is allowed and encouraged. That’s one reason to smile!! The sad thing is, my immediate boss had added me on his msn list, so I better not try anything funny. Boss looks bloated, with a pot-belly and podgy cheeks, but he is pretty nice.

The next thing is that, my company is located at IBP, and it’s super inaccessible during rainy days. Though there is a shuttle bus which costs 20 cents per trip, it is usually very crowded. Like last Friday, it was raining like crazy in the morning so I waited for the shuttle bus. It was packed like sardine in the shelter, and I noticed 2 men behind me. When the bus arrived, everyone was panicky and trying to squeeze up the bus. Then, I could feel one of the men coming too close, that is, his body is touching my back!! Freak!!!

Being a reckless person, I wouldn’t take any chance to let him go. So, I swing my arm forcefully behind and hit him with that umbrella in my hand. *Ouch* I didn’t know where it hit, but it doesn’t matter. Then, he is not that close. See that?? Men need some punishment to learn huh??

Last thing, my office is near my house so getting home quickly isn’t a major issue. (Who cares about going to work, I am more concern about coming home!!) Usually, I would take around 40 minutes to reach home from my office. Even though I am grossly underpaid, the near distance does compensate for my time, right?? That makes it another reason to smile!!! But, how can I survive with that meagre salary of mine, especially with GST increasing to 7%??

The first week is finally over, that left me with 21 more weeks to go. =)
Let the countdown begins….
