Happy Lunar New Year!!!

I have completed the experimental part of my project!!! After months of working late into the night, screwing up my weekends and slogging like a dog, my results are finally ready. However, the worst is yet to come. My mentor had joined a research institute and is going back to India, so I will be left to do the discussion all by myself!! This is scary because he had been my pillar for so long. Will I collapse after he is gone?? No, I won’t!!

Life is fairly monotonous these days, nothing much except schoolwork and FYP keeping me entertained. But I am looking forward to CNY, which is only tomorrow!! I am dying to go down to Chinatown and take a look at Mickey Mouse lightings, but my friends won’t go because they think it is unglam to be squeezing through those folks. Haizzz…

Though I won’t have the chance to be down at Chinatown, I decorated my house with Mickey all over!! I got all excited when mum threw out a bag of decorative items from the storeroom. I search for my Mickey Mouse, which had waited for 12 years to see the lights again. Hahaha!!! It was a long wait for Mickey, isn’t it??

As I am typing this, aroma from the kitchen is flooding into my room. Smell of that lotus soup, nice!! In just another hour, I will be enjoying the reunion dinner. Wonder what else my mum is preparing… I hope there is chicken. It’s just too bad that I cannot upload the smell; else you will be drooling all over your keyboard!!

The flowers are blooming and mandarin oranges are ripe jus in time for the season. I look a few shots of the flowers and they are simply lovely!! We even decorated them with auspicious stickers!! Lastly, I took out all the food items and place them on the coffee table. Now my house is so into the CNY mood, and I am enjoying every second of the day. =)

I’m looking forward to tomorrow ever more, because it is the season to “refill” my pocket. Haha!!!
