Happy Birthday, Singapore!!

“Come on, it is just another public holiday…”

That was what I heard from some uncles at the void deck, when I was buying newspaper at the convenient store near my house just now. But isn’t he enjoying his day, lazing at the void deck yet passing such lousy comment?!? If he is really so unsatisfied, then go work!!!

I am not patriotic and I wouldn’t be going around telling people how great Singapore is, for I believe people have eyes to see. It is a day we should appreciate, because we could curl up under the bed till the sun sets and then wake up to enjoy the parade. Right now, I am waiting patiently for the parade to start while my daddy is already at the stadium.

Yesterday, I was down at Marina Bay for some fireworks display. So Beautiful I have not regretted watching with the crowd….

We reached City hall at around 8pm, and it was already bubbling with life!! We then looked for a good spot among the midst of crowd and planted our feet there.

When the first firework lit up the sky at 9, the crowd was roaring in excitement. It was nice to see the firework burst into colourful sparkles in the deepening twilight and no word could describe how beautiful it is.

Though there were still bangalas around me, I was well protected. It was not as messy as orchard during Christmas and the bangalas did not have any chance to lay their fingers on me, for I was super paranoid when they were only an arm’s length away. Not that I am racist or whatsoever, but, the bangalas have already tarnished their reputation because they were touchy during many other parties held at crowded places.
