Looked stupid, for the second time

After that msn incident, I was extra careful when msn-ing. My boss was so badly traumatized that he had decided to end his life sign out msn whenever he is not around, (or did he block me??) even for just a few minutes. But I didn't fail to stupefy him for the second time...

It had always been the secretary's habit to hand documents from the CEO's office to me, when my boss is not around, because it was a mile from her work desk to ours. So yesterday, while he was out for a meeting, the secretary discreetly placed something above the mess on my table.

It was a big brown envelope from the CEO's office that lies quietly at the corner of my desk. On it, printed a bloody red statement that reads - STRICTLY PRIVATE & CONFIDENTIAL. TO BE OPENED BY ADDRESSEE ONLY. From there, anyone would have guess that it contain some really important document, and it had been placed into a square box inside the envelope for extra protection. Being a non-busybody, I won't even be bothered to take a single peep when I am not the intended recipient.

So, the big brown envelope was left seated alone on my desk till the late afternoon. My boss came back, looked tired and stressed as he let out a heavy sigh when I handed over the envelope. I walked out from his room, relieved that the "important document" reached him safely.

Just before my butt could even touch the chair, there was a loud "huh?!!" coming from his room. I shoot up, only to see that confused look on his face. It was a classic expression. His browns were distorted and his mouth was wide opened into a crocked fashion. He held up a box of Korean drama and busted out laughing. It was so loud that other managers came rushing into his room to catch the joke...

Oops!!! It was not from the CEO's office. That "important docunment" was for me!!! The secretary was lending me her Korean drama VCD that we were talking about the other day, and she couldn't find a bag and thus decided to place it in one of those envelopes lying around her table. Somehow, there was a miscommunication and it landed in the hands of my boss instead...

I was obviously, embarrassed and became the joke of the day. But somehow, I had managed to lift the spirit of my boss - though unwillingly. But one thing for sure, this booboo incident had proved something important. That is - I am not a busybody, and secrets can be safe with me. Phew... at least I didn't sacrifice for nothing.

Will there be a third booboo attack from me?? We shall see!! Hahaha!!
