What is sharing??

I looked up the dictionary and I found 2 meanings of sharing:
- To participate in, use, enjoy or experience jointly or in turns
- To allow someone to use or enjoy something that one possesses

Mum says the willingness of a person to share can demonstrate her compassion, generosity and sympathy towards others that were in need. To her, sharing is a virtue. It is graceful and benevolent.

But I think mum is only half correct. Sharing should not be link only to monetary, like in the case of my mum’s explanation.

Don’t we share the same train with other commuters that were on their way to school?? Don’t we share the same friends?? Isn’t the World Wide Web is created for the purpose of sharing information??

Sharing is loving, and loving is having someone to share the beauty of the stars, to have someone to talk with and be able to discover the joy of each other.

Sharing is a form of communication. The sharing of joy or sorrow bridges the sharers which can be the basis for understanding each other, and lessen the threat of their differences.


Since sharing can bring so much enjoyment, why did I felt like crap when I found myself sharing a toothbrush with my dad all these while??
