If you had watched the show, you might agree with me that Hady isn’t at all matching the standard of winners from other countries. However, being Malay and singing a Malay song in the host country definitely help to pleased the population and win their votes. From the news report, I read that many Indonesian girls went crazy over Hady. Oh girls, how could you!!! Hahaha!!!
For the same reason, I thought the contestants from Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore had higher chance of winning because most voters do not understand the 3 other languages. Even though the Indian song was so cool and the Vietnamese song sounded sweet, when voters did not understand the language, it will be difficult to make judgments, and most probably would not vote for them. Is the competition fair?? You decide.
Personally, my favourite was the Malaysian Idol – Jaclyn Victor, because she sang like a superstar. Her performance had pushed the standard sky high that other singers looked so blend beside her. On contrary, Hady’s choice of songs were pretty boring and I actually yawned while he sang. He failed to melt my heart unlike his performance during the Singapore Idol finals.
Nevertheless, Hady still look great on stage, and girls from the region had proven this point by voting him to be the first Asian Idol!!!

*scream like a little girl*
Yeah, girls are shallow… so am I…
